Most fashion jewellery starts to dull within a few weeks. The metal reacts with air, moisture and the oils on your skin, and the finish goes from bright to tired.

Every piece we make carries an anti-tarnish coating — a protective layer over the gold-tone finish that slows that reaction down. It is not a marketing word. It is a manufacturing step, and it is the reason a pair you bought months ago still looks like the pair in the photo.

It works better when you help it. Three habits make most of the difference.

Put them on last

After perfume, after moisturiser, after hairspray. Those are the things that dull a finish fastest, and thirty seconds of patience keeps them off the metal entirely.

Wipe before you store

A soft dry cloth, a few seconds. This lifts off the skin oils and sweat from the day before they sit overnight.

Store them in a pouch

Not loose in a drawer. Pieces rubbing against each other scratch the coating, and a scratch is where dulling begins. Every order arrives with a pouch — use it.

What to avoid

• Wearing them in the shower or the pool
• Sleeping in them
• Cleaning them with alcohol, bleach or household cleaner
• Storing them somewhere humid, like a bathroom shelf

If they do dull

Tell us. Message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we will look at it honestly — sometimes it is a cleaning issue we can walk you through, and sometimes it is a piece that did not meet the standard we set. We would rather know than not know.

We do not make a promise in months or years, because we have not put these through a laboratory wear test and we are not going to invent a number. What we will say is this: cared for the way above, these hold their finish far longer than the jewellery they usually get compared to.
